A Christmas Greeting

Just when you thought it was safe to turn on your Christmas lights and show the neighbours that you care, the liberal grinches are back, and they are not happy. HUMBUG and DOUBLE HUMBUG! The liberals want to steal your Christmas and together with their ACLU soul mates they are on the warpath...again. Their publicity hungry friend, posterboy and convicted murderer Stanley Tookie Williams was finally put away. The former gang leader was convicted of killing 4 people in cold blood, but he and his supporters would rewrite history by telling you that he was innocent, had incompetent lawyers, is all about peace, anti-gangs, and just an all around wonderful guy. This was emotional media manipulation at its peak with hundreds of school kids writing letters to Governor Schwarzenegger, TV stations, the Superintendent of California prisons and the US Supreme Court while the Hollywood liberals held candle light vigils. It was touch and go 'til the end and for a moment there I was worried that the Terminator himself was going to take a dive...ye of little faith that I am.
The ACLU is also preparing to file suit against the federal air marshals for shooting suspected wannabe bomber Rigoberto Alpizar who suddenly jumped out of his seat and ran down the plane yelling that he had a bomb. We are sorry he is dead but here's the dilemma...should the air marshal listen to his threats to detonate the bomb or to his wife's protestations that he was bipolar? If you were a trained air marshal on that plane what would you do? When he jumped out of his seat, grabbed his knapsack and yelled that he had a bomb... was he on an adrenalin boosted high or a depressing low? Should the air marshals ask him how he feels or should they do what they are trained to do? If they had hesitated and he really had a bomb and blew up the plane, killing a hundred people, then what? What would John Kerry have done? He would probably still be polling the passengers.
Over in the Middle East the liberal press is worried about secret CIA prisons filled with righteous terrorists who do not have access to righteous lawyers. The same press however, does not seem to be worried about the secret hideouts used by the Iraqi and Afghani terrorists who kidnap our soldiers, torture and then behead them. Amnesty International does not seem to know about this. Howard Dean insists that the war in Iraq is not winnable and I guess if anyone knows much about not winning... Howard's our man. He and buddy Ted Kennedy stay up late nights chewing Rolaids and conniving on how to bring down the Republican president. They cannot stand it that he is still in office and some Americans actually like the job he is doing. They went ballistic when both CNN and FOX had one-hour specials this month focused on our progress in Iraq. The cardiac unit outside Kennedy's office was on full alert the entire night.
The only GOOD NEWS for liberals is that Sami is FREE. The ex University of South Florida professor and Palestinian Jihad supporter and fund raiser Sami al-Arian was acquitted of all charges. Is it great to live in America or what? He proclaims his innocence and says he even voted for Bush because he felt Al Gore was lacking. That’s what we call a backhanded compliment and the libs are struggling with the issues involved. How could they have supported Sami when he was secretly supporting Bush? It is issues like these that just make liberals squeamish and bite their fingernails right down to the quick.
Hollywood does not have a LOCK on goofy liberals. They are all over, even in merry old England. The British playwright Harold Pinter (perhaps too many pints) won the Nobel Prize for literature this year. He hates us and openly accuses the United States foreign policy (Bush) of masquerading as global do-gooders when in reality we are the opposite. He compares us with Hitler. Do you think being anti American is a prerequisite for receiving a Nobel Prize? Convicted murderer Tookie Williams was also nominated for one of those prizes, the Nobel Peace prize. It appears that quite a few left leaning "enlightened ones" are Nobel material. Poor Alfred. Must be turning in his grave.
Having said all that, Merry Christmas to all and may we wish that all liberals wake up on Christmas day and find their Christmas stocking stuffed with logic and common sense.
